About Me
My Name is Mohammed Mansoor, 24 years old, born and raised in Dubai. I studied Public Relations in American University in the Emirates. I chose to study PR since it matches my passion in writing. For me as I love writing then PR is the field for me. Writing is the major part when it comes to public relations. I used to write for more than 12 years in different blogs and articles, and now I started writing media releases and speeches. I always believe in “Do what you love” more than” Love what you do”. Writing and PR is what I love, and I believe I'm lucky since I have both in my life.
My Story
One day, one of my friends said “ Writing is not the only element in PR but it is an essential element and if you love writing then PR is the career you should choose. I supported my passion with my study that integrates and helps me alot in my work as I'm working as a Public Relations officer in one of the biggest real estate portals in UAE with over five years of experience specializing in managing the reputation of the company, monitoring the media and public opinion of my client, planning PR campaigns and strategies. I chose working in the PR field since I believe in “do what you love” and since PR opens the doors for the dreams to come true. It offers the ability to use your strength and to improve and enhance your skills. PR is another way to reach my target and audience. It helps create a positive image and build awareness of my company and the business as whole. Working in PR is the perfect decision I have ever made since I crave challenges that come with hard work, unique rewards, and creative opportunities.
Connecting increase your influence in every situation
Connecting is the ability to identify with people in a way that increases the leader’s influence over them. If the leader can’t find a way to communicate effectively with his people, he will be unable to reach the goals. Maxwell believes that excellent connectors are always excellent leaders, and mentioned two of the great connectors, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. The ability to communicate with others begins with an understanding of people's value. Learn to communicate with every type of person in any type of situation. The ability to communicate with others is one of the most important skills a person can learn. People who feel valued by their leader will be much more open and allow the leader to influence in an effective way.
Connecting goes beyond words
Message is all that matters, and communication goes way beyond words. If the leader wants to be successful in connecting and communicating with people, he needs to make sure that his communication goes beyond words, by connecting on 4 levels: visually, intellectually, emotionally and Verbally. Leaders must use a simple method of communicating in terms of words. While expression is important, people usually remember how their leaders present their words. So what can the leaders do? Leaders should eliminate personal distractions, maintain an open posture, expand their range of expression, move with a sense of purpose, pay attention to their surroundings, believe that mistakes can be destroyed, take away the simplest nonverbal, ensure that obstacles are within their control and ensure effective communication.
